The group's principal activities are to provide freight services and distribution solutions to a wide variety of companies and industries. The group operates in three segments: less-than-truckload, logistics and truckload. Less-than-truckload services are provided throughout Canada and the United States utilizing its own infrastructure and exclusive partners. Logistics provides special distribution solutions that range from inventory consolidation to responsibility for the complete distribution function as well as highway and rail brokerage. Truckload services include premium same-day and next-day truckload services in the United States midwest. At 15-May-2001, the group discontinued its environmental services group division. Less-than-truckload accounted for 78% of 2001 revenues; logistics, 12% and truckload, 10%.
