The group's principal activities are to own and operate short stay surgical facilities including surgery centers and private surgical hospitals. The group acquires and develops the facilities through the formation of strategic relationships with physicians and health care systems. At 31-Dec-2003, the group operated 74 facilities, consisting of 62 in the United States, nine in Spain, and three in the United Kingdom.
