Jane J. Song was named President of St. Jude Medical's Atrial Fibrillation business on August 30, 2004. She formerly was President of Cardiac Surgery, since May 2002. Ms. Song joined St. Jude Medical in 1998 as Senior Vice President, Operations for the Cardiac Rhythm Management business in Sylmar, California USA. Her responsibilities in that position included overseeing product development, manufacturing, quality control, customer service, and information technology.

Before joining St. Jude Medical, Ms. Song held executive positions in global operations and business development at EG&G. Prior to her tenure at EG&G, she was employed at Coopers & Lybrand and Texas Instruments.

Ms. Song received her B.S. in Engineering from Polytechnic University and an M.S. in Engineering from Northeastern University.
