The Group's principal activity is to operate senior living facilities in the United States. The group operates through seven segments namely, at home assisted living, independent living, assisted living, alzheimer's care, nursing & rehabilitative care, hospice care, and short-term stays. In May 2005,the group acquired Greystone. At year ended 2005, the group operated 97 communities in the United States, 11 communities in Canada, five communities in the United Kingdom and two communities in Germany.
