The system continuously measures the changes in the blood oxygen level in the brain. Invos analyzes various characteristics of human blood and tissue by measuring and analyzing low-intensity visible and near-infrared light transmitted into portions of the body. The cerebral oximeter is a relatively inexpensive, portable and easy-to-use monitoring system placed at a patient's bedside in hospital critical care areas, especially operating rooms, recovery rooms, intensive care units and emergency rooms. The company also develops correstore system for use in cardiac repair and reconstruction including heart surgeries called surgical ventricular restoration.
