The group's principal activities are the development and marketing of medical devices in the sectors of orthopaedics, endoscopy and advanced wound management. Orthopaedic products comprise reconstructive joint implants, trauma products and associated clinical therapies. The endoscopy sector develops and commercialises a range of endoscopic techniques, educational programmes and value-added services for surgeons to treat and repair soft tissues, articulating joints, spinal discs and vascular structures. The advanced wound management sector supplies a range of products and clinical support services for the treatment of chronic and acute skin wounds. Each of the three global business units manages its sales in ten international markets namely, the us, Canada, the UK, Germany, Japan, Australia, France, Italy, New Zealand and Ireland.
