The group's principal activity is to own, operate and provide programming services to television stations. The group provides these services to 62 television stations in 39 markets throughout the United States. The television stations of the group are affiliated with 20 stations of fox, 19 with the wb, eight with abc, six with upn, four with nbc and three with cbs. Through it's wholly-owned subsidiary, sinclair ventures, the group owns equity interests in Internet-related companies including g1440, an Internet development and integration company. The group has an equity interest in and a strategic alliance with acrodyne communications inc, a manufacturer of transmitters and other television broadcast equipment.
