The group's principal activity is to provide commercial and consumer banking services through 12 branches and 16 ATM's. These services are provided to individuals, businesses and other organizations in kent, queen anne's, caroline, talbot and dorchester counties in Maryland. The group accepts commercial checking, savings, certificate of deposit and overnight investment sweep accounts. The commercial lending portfolio includes working capital loans, lines of credit, term loans, account receivable financing, real estate acquisition development, construction loans and letters of credit. The consumer loans provided by the group include mortgage loans, home improvement, installment personal loans, credit cards, automobile and other financing. Other services include merchant credit card clearing, direct deposit of payroll, Internet and telephone banking, discount brokerage and mutual funds. On 01-Apr-2004, the group acquired midstate bancorp, inc.
