The group's principal activities are to design, develop and market hardware, software and silicon solutions that enable users to conveniently and securely access digital content and services that have been protected through digital encryptions. The group operates through three segments: digital TV, PC security and flash media interface. Digital TV offers conditional access modules that provide secure, removable decryption for digital pay-TV broadcasts. Pc security offers smart card reader technology that enables secure access to pcs, networks and physical facilities. Flash media interface provides digital media readers and asics that are used to transfer digital content to and from various flash media. The group sells products to digital TV operators, conditional access providers, government contractors, systems integrators, large enterprises, computer manufacturers, smart card readers, photographic equipment manufacturers and banks and other financial institutions.
