The group's principal activity is to use industry specific expertise to generate and administer investment opportunities for itself and for outside investors in the energy, real estate and financial services sectors. The group operates in five segments: energy, real estate finance, leasing, financial services and other activities. In the energy segment, the group drills for and sells natural gas and transports natural gas from wells it owns and operates to interstate pipelines and in some cases, to end-users. In real estate finance segment, it manages a portfolio of real estate loans whose underlying properties are located in the mid Atlantic region of the United States. In leasing segment, the group focused on expansion of operation through sponsorship of equipment leasing program. Financial service segment, functioned as investment entity to acquire securities of small mid-sized regional banks and bank holding companies.
