The group's principal activities are to generate, transmit, distribute and market electric energy through its wholly owned subsidiaries. The group operates through four segments: power, pse&g, global and resources. Power segment markets energy and provides capacity and ancillary services on a wholesale basis under contract to power marketers. Pse&g segment provides electric transmission and electric and gas distribution services to residential, commercial and industrial customers in New Jersey. Global segment includes investments in and operation of projects in the generation and distribution of energy. Resources segment includes passive investments in leveraged leases, limited partnerships, leveraged buyout funds and marketable securities.
