Progress, webspeed, objectstore and provision are registered trademarks of the group. The group competes in various markets with a number of entities including database vendors offering development tools in conjunction with their database systems, such as IBM, microsoft corporation, oracle corporation and sybase, inc. The principal international markets served by the group, include Europe, Middle East and Africa (emea), Latin America and Asia. On 19-Dec-2002, the group acquired excelon corporation.
