The company's principal activity is the research and development of high speed scanning process to test remotely buried, encased and insulated pipelines for corrosion. Its electromagnetic wave inspection process (emw) is nondestructive and noninvasive. It is a patented process of analyzing the waveforms of electrical impulses in a way that extracts point-to-point information along a segment of pipeline to illustrate the integrity of the entire pipeline. Its emw process is designed to detect external corrosion of pipelines which occurs under pipe insulation and on buried pipes. The company has developed two basic emw inspection techniques namely dual pulse or pulse propagation analyzer and single-pulse or calibration mark z. These techniques provide an assessment of the overall integrity of the pipe in question and the location and classification of electromagnetic anomalies. The customers of the company include large petrochemical, utility and petroleum companies.
