The group's principal activities are to design, market, distribute and license men's and women's apparel, accessories, fragrances, skin care products and home furnishings. The group operates through three business segments: wholesale, retail and licensing. The wholesale segment consists of two operating units: polo brands and collection brands. Each unit designs, sources, markets and distributes discrete brands. The retail segment operates two types of stores: outlet and full price stores. The stores sell the products purchased from the wholesale segment. The licensing segment consists of product, international and home generated revenues from royalties through its licensing alliances. The licensing agreement grants the licensee rights to use the various trademarks. The group markets its product in the United States, Europe and other foreign countries.
