The products include canned and dry groceries, frozen foods and dairy products. The group operates through three segments: broadline, customized and fresh-cut. Broadline designs the product mix, distribution routes and delivery schedules to accommodate purchases that vary in size. Customized focuses on serving casual-dining chain restaurants. Fresh-cut purchases, processes, packages and distributes a variety of fresh produce mainly to third party distributors for resale primarily to quick-service restaurants. The customers include street foodservice customers, such as independent restaurants, hotels, cafeterias, schools, healthcare facilities and other institutional customers and multi-unit or chain customers, such as regional and national family and casual dining and quick-service restaurants.
