Business Information
The group's principal activities are to provide transportation services and real estate operations. The transportation business is conducted through two wholly owned subsidiaries. One of the transportation companies concentrates in the hauling by motor carrier of liquid and dry bulk commodities. Another subsidiary serves the flatbed portion of the trucking industry in the southeast, midwest and mid-Atlantic states, hauling primarily the construction materials. Under the real estate segment, the group leases land under mining royalty agreements. The group also holds certain other real estate for investment. The real estate group acquires, constructs, leases, operates and manages land and buildings.
