The group operates through three business segments: coatings, glass and chemicals. The coatings segment involves the supply of protective and decorative finishes for industrial, packaging, aircraft, automotive original equipment and consumer products. The glass segment includes production of flat glass, fabricated glass and continuous-strand fiber glass for residential and commercial construction and industrial applications. The chemicals segment produces and markets chlor-alkali chemicals and supplies specialty chemicals. The primary chlor-alkali products are chlorine, caustic soda, vinyl chloride monomer, chlorinated solvents, chlorinated benzene and calcium hypochlorite. The group operates in the United States, Europe, Canada and other foreign countries.
