The group's principal activity is to provide diversified financial services. The services offered include regional community banking; wholesale banking, including corporate banking, real estate finance and asset-based lending; wealth management; asset management and global fund processing services. The group provides certain products and services nationally and others in pnc's primary geographic markets in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Ohio and Kentucky. In addition, it also provides certain banking, asset management and global fund processing services internationally. The corporate legal structure currently consists of two subsidiary banks, with their subsidiaries and over 60 active nonbank subsidiaries. On 28-Oct-2003, the group acquired advisorport and on 01-Jan-2004, acquired united national bancorp.
