The group's principal activity is to develop and operate casual dining restaurants. It offers consumers of different demographic backgrounds an array of dining alternatives suited for differing needs. The restaurants serve dinner only and feature a limited menu of seasoned steaks, prime rib, chops, barbecued ribs, chicken, fish and pasta. The group has seven restaurant concepts, over 1000 system-wide restaurants. The operations are conducted through company-owned stores in 50 states and in 21 countries internationally. Outback steakhouse, carrabba's Italian grill, fleming's prime steakhouse and wine bar, roy's, cheeseburger in paradise, bonefish grill, lee roy selmon's and paul lee's Chinese kitchen service marks and 'bloomin' onion' are the trademarks under which the group markets its restaurants. On 01-Jul-2003, the group acquired 14 outback steakhouse restaurants operating in Alabama and Florida.
