The group's principal activities are to develop, manufacture, market and distribute computer software. The group operates in five business segments: software licenses, license updates, consulting, advanced product services and education. The license and license updates segment licenses database and applications software, grants customers the right to software product updates and maintenance releases. Consulting services assists customers in the implementation, deployment, upgrade and migration of applications software. Advanced product services include on-site support, telephone or Internet access to support personnel as well as advanced product support services including remote database administration and performance monitoring and tuning. Education segment provides media-based, instructor-led and Internet-based training to customers in use of the products.
