The group's principal activity is to produce and sell variety of protein and oil products derived from menhaden. Menhaden is a species of wild herring-like fish found along the gulf of Mexico and Atlantic coasts. The products type includes, fish meal, fish oil and fish solubles. Fish meal products are primarily used as a protein ingredient in animal feed for swine, cattle, aquaculture and household pets. Fish oil is utilized for animal and aquaculture feeds, industrial applications, and additives to human food products. Fish solubles are sold primarily to livestock feed manufacturers, aquaculture feed manufacturers and for use as an organic fertilizer. The group sells its products directly as well as through sales agents. Products of the group are primarily sold in the United States, European and Asian market.
