The group's principal activity is to operate in three divisions namely newspaper, broadcasting and New York times digital. The newspaper division consists of the New York times, the globe, the international herald tribune, the worcester telegram and gazette, 15 regional newspapers, photo and graphics services and licensing of the trademarks and copyrights of the times and the globe. The broadcasting division includes 8 network-affiliated television stations and 2 radio stations. New york times digital division provides digital and business information and the licensing of electronic databases. The group also has ownership interests in a newsprint mill and super calendered paper mill. During Jan 2003 the group acquired the remaining 50% interest in international herald tribune.
