The group's principal activities are to design, manufacture and sell comprehensive systems, components and products used in oil and gas drilling and production. The products and services are offered to the exploration and production segment of the oil and gas industry. The group operates in two segments: products and technology segment and distribution services segment. The products and technology segment designs and manufactures complete land drilling and workover rigs and drilling related systems on offshore rigs. The distribution services segment provides maintenance, repair and operating supplies and spare parts to drill site and production locations in North America and to offshore contractors. The distribution services are mainly provided in North America, Europe, the Middle East, southeast Asia and South America. During the year 2003 the group acquired mono pumping products business from halliburton energy services and the stock of corlac equipment ltd.
