The company's principal activity is to produce and market hardwood and softwood bleached chemi-thermo-mechanical pulp (bctmp) and softwood lumber. The company owns and operates three production facilities in the province of alberta. The btcmp mill and sawmill are located in whitecourt and a sawmill located in boyle. In addition, the company manages and markets all pulp produced by the meadow lake pulp mill. The products of the company are hardwood, softwood and blended wood bctmp which are used in the production of printing and writing papers, tissue, toweling, boxboard and specialty papers. The sawmills produce lumber for residential and commercial construction industries, which are sold in Canada and the United States. Pulp accounted for 56% of 2001 revenues; lumber, 39% and other, 5%.
