These non-patented mining claims are claims in which an individual, corporation or other legal entity has obtained a right to remove and extract minerals from the land but full title of the land has not been acquired from the United States government. The company leases its mineral rights and properties to cominco American incorporated. Cominco is currently exploring for zinc and lead ores on the company's mineral rights.
