The group also sells prescription drugs to members of clients either through home delivery pharmacies or through the networks of contractually affiliated retail pharmacies. The group's customers include blue cross/blue shield plans, insurance carriers, third-party benefit plan administrators, employers, federal, state and local government agencies and union-sponsored benefit plans. The operations are carried out in the United States of America. The group spun off from merck and co inc in Aug 2003.
