The group's principal activity is to operate through four divisions: aluminum industry, division is into mining, production and manufacture of fabricated and semi-fabricated aluminum products. Forest product division grows and harvests redwood and douglas-fir timber, the milling of logs into lumber and the manufacture of lumber into a variety of finished products. Real estate division is into residential and commercial real estate investment and development primarily in Puerto Rico, Arizona, California and Texas. Racing division owns and operates a class 1 pari-mutuel horseracing facility in the greater houston metropolitan area and a pari-mutuel greyhound racing facility in harlingen, Texas.
