The group's principal activity is to provide outsourced compliance solutions, environmental services and environmental removal services. The group operates under three segments: refinery services, power generation and western markets. Refinery services segment provides outsourced compliance solutions to major oil refinery customers in the United States and Canada. Power generation segment provides outsourced environmental services, primarily air quality compliance, to customers in the power generation industry. The segment also provides services to the cement industry. Western markets segment provides environmental removal services and chemical products to customers in western Canada. Environmental removal services accounted for 49% of 2001 revenues; refinery services, 29% and power generation, 22%.
