The group's operations are carried out through three segments: refining, marketing and transportation, exploration and production and other energy related businesses. The refining, marketing and transportation segment refines, markets and transports crude oil through seven refineries, which it owns and operates. The exploration and production segment produces crude oil and natural gas in seven countries. The other energy related businesses segment markets and transports its own and third party natural gas, crude oil and products. The group operates in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, west Africa, equatorial guinea, angola and gabon.
