The group's principal activity is to supply digital power-electronic products for use in information technology and in industrial, communications, consumer and other markets. The group operates in a single segment, digital power products, which includes two product lines, components and systems. Components include: ac-to-dc switching power supplies, ac-to-dc rectifiers/battery chargers, dc-to-dc power converters, dc-to-ac power inverters and peripheral component interconnects (pcis). Major customers include merloni, IBM, siemens, motorola, alcatel and ericsson. Magnetek's systems consist of programmable motion control, power conditioning systems, verizon, nortel, U.S. Cellular and t-mobile. The group acquired mxt holdings, inc on 30-Dec-2002.
