Business Information
The group's principal activities are to design, manufacture, market and service semiconductor processing equipment used in the fabrication of integrated circuits. The products include single wafer plasma etch systems with a wide range of applications, chemical mechanical planarization (cmp) and post-cmp wafer cleaning systems as well as post-sale services and support for these systems. Etch and cmp products selectively remove portions of various films from the wafer to create an integrated circuit. The group's customers consist of semiconductor manufacturers in the United States, Europe, Japan and Asia-Pacific. Export sales accounted for 44% of fiscal 2002 revenues.
