It provides services to 174,000 retail customers in eastern Kentucky and does business as American electric power. It also sells wholesale power to the aep system power pool and municipalities. As a member of the aep system, the company operates in conjunction with the facilities of certain other aep affiliated utilities as an integrated utility system.
