The group’s principal activity is to provide wireline local exchange telecommunications services to residential and business customers. The group acquired Montezuma Mutual Telephone Company in July 2006 and Baker Communications, Inc. in August 2006. The group operates 228 telephone exchanges in the United States. Of the total revenue in the year 2006, the local services accounted for 33%, network access services 41%, toll services 9% and other services 17%.
