The principal activity of the group is to develop, manufacture and sell proprietary, disposable medical connection systems for use in intravenous therapy applications. The group devices are designed to protect healthcare workers and their patients from exposure to infectious diseases such as hepatitis b and c and human immunodeficiency virus through accidental needlesticks. The products are clave, custom and generic iv systems, clc2000, click lock, mcgaw protected needle, mcgaw safeline products, lopez valve, rf100-rf150 and other products. The group has supply and distribution agreements with b.braun medical inc and abbott laboratories, both major iv product suppliers and commands a large share of the market. The customers include acute care hospitals, surgical centers and nursing homes.
