The group's principal activity is to engage in the research, development and commercialization of bioactive peptides (small proteins). The research is conducted both internally and in conjunction with a research and development arrangement with Louisiana state university, in the field of biotechnology. The group's technology consists of a proprietary library of bioactive peptides which are harnessed to develop products for various non-pharmaceutical applications including skin care products, biocides and commercial disinfectants and pharmaceutical products to aid in wound healing and treating infectious diseases.
