The group's principal activities are to provide commercial banking and trust services to customers located in eastern Pennsylvania. These services include acceptance of time and demand deposits, originating secured and unsecured commercial loans, construction and mortgage loans, financing of commercial transactions and performing corporate pension and personal trust services. The deposits are insured by the federal deposit insurance corporation. As on 31-Dec-2003, the group operates 40 branch offices located in montgomery, bucks, chestier, berks, carbon, wayne, monroe, lehigh, northampton and schuylkill counties, Pennsylvania. On 30-Apr-2004, the group acquired millennium bank & cumberland advisors, inc.
