The groups principal activities are to provide financial advisory and merchant banking services. Financial advisory services include underwriting services, retainer services and investment advisory services. Merchant banking services consists of management fees on the merchant banking activities, gain or loss on investments in the merchant banking funds and other merchant banking services. The group provides strategic and financial advice to us and non-us clients in mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and other corporate financial matters.
