The group's principal activities are to provide integrated telecommunications and Internet services to businesses and other high-usage customers and telecommunications operators. The group operates in four segments: business and corporate services, carrier and operator services, consumer Internet services and mobile services. Business and corporate services provides business and corporate services including voice and data services to corporate clients. Carrier and operator services provides a range of carrier and operator services including voice and data services to foreign and russian telecommunications and mobile operators. Consumer Internet services provides dial-up Internet accesses to the consumer market. Mobile services include voicemail, roaming and messaging services on a subscription and prepaid basis. The group acquired sibchallenge telecom, oao comincom, oao combellga and samara-telecom in 2003 and st-holdings and sp buzton in 2004.
