The group operates railroads under a fifty percent joint venture with the australian railroad group pty ltd in Australia. In 2003, the group operated approximately 8,100 miles of owned, jointly owned or leased tracks as well as over 3,000 additional miles under track access arrangements. During 2003, the group acquired chattahoochee industrial railroad, Arkansas Louisiana and Mississippi railroad company and fordyce & princeton railroad company.
