The principal activities of the group consist of two business segments: utility and diversified operations. The utility is engaged in the generation, purchase, transmission, distribution and sale of electric energy. The electric fuels corpn operations include coal mining, procurement and transportation services to Florida power corpn and other external customers. Other diversified operations include activities in leveraged leasing, commercial finance, life insurance, real estate and technology development.
