The Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle, or the Seattle Bank, a federally chartered corporation organized in 1964, is a member-owned cooperative. Our mission is to build financial partnerships that enhance the success of our members and make our communities better places to work and live. We have pursued historically our mission through two business segments: traditional member finance and our Mortgage Purchase Program, or MPP. Through traditional member finance, we provide our financial institution members and other approved non-member borrowers with loans, which we refer to as advances, as well as other products and services.
