The principal activity of the company is exploration of mineral properties in Argentina with a focus on the discovery of epithermal gold or silver and porphyry copper or gold projects in Argentina and Chile. The company conducts the examination and acquisition of mineral exploration opportunities and secures capital for the implementation of its exploration programs. The company also conducts developmental studies and carries out progressive environmental and engineering studies along with exploration. They identify through commercially mineable reserves through its exploration efforts on any of its mineral properties and seek to develop the opportunity by either bringing the property into commercial production itself, through a contract mining arrangement, or by way of a joint venture. The company's properties include an advanced stage project at La Cabeza in Argentina, with an inferred resource containing 891, 000 ounces of gold based on 18.3 million tonnes grading 1.5 g/t gold, and a suite of gold properties in Argentinean Patagonia, partnered with Cerro Vanguardia SA (CVSA), a company owned by Anglogold & Fomicruz. Exeter owns epithermal gold and copper-gold porphyry properties in northern Argentina and has recently announced an alliance with Rio Tinto Mining and Explorations Chile, an affiliate of the Rio Tinto group of Companies in Pantagonian Chile. They exploration has been presently concentrated on the La Cabeza gold project and a three-rig exploration program has commenced to expand the resources. The company was formerly known as Golden Glacier Resources Inc., which was a mineral exploration company, engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of resource properties in South America. Exeter has entered into agreements whereby it has acquired 100% of the issued shares of Cognito Ltd., a company incorporated under the laws of the British Virgin Islands. Cognito Limited has an extant option to acquire 100% of the La Cabeza Project. Exeter has also acquired 100% of the issued shares of Estelar Resources Ltd., a company incorporated under the laws of the British Virgin Islands. Estelar Resources Limited has three advanced drill ready porphyry copper gold projects and one epithermal gold exploration project in Argentina. It has a registered branch office in the country.
