The group's principal activity is to design, develop and supply of a broad line of storage networking host bus adapters (hbas), application specific computer chips (asics) and software products. These products provide connectivity solutions for storage area networks (sans), network attached storage (nas) and redundant array of independent disks (raid) storage. The fibre channel products manufactured by the group include centralized wiring connection, improved network reliability and a monitoring point in fibre channel arbitrated loop environment. The group provides external and embedded printer servers, which provide LAN connectivity for printers. The network access products comprise of various products that provide connectivity between computing resources across both lans and wans. On 17-Nov-2003, the group acquired vixel corporation.
