The group's principal activities are to design, manufacture and sell electrical, electromechanical and electronic products, systems and services. The group's process control system produces process management products including analytical and measurement instrumentation, valves and controls systems. Industrial automation segment provides industrial motors, drives, controls and equipment for industrial automation markets. Electronics and telecommunications segment designs, manufactures, installs and maintains power solutions for network-dependent businesses. Hvac segment provides climate control equipment spanning industrial, commercial and residential applications of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating. Appliance and tools segment provides motors, controls and other components. The operations are conducted in the United States, Europe, Asia, Latin America and other foreign regions. In fiscal 2003, the group discontinued its dura-line operations.
