The group's principal activity is to provide information technology, engineering, logistics and other consulting services. The services of the group enhance performance and cost effectiveness of mission critical systems. The group operates in two segments: systems and services and metrigraphics. Systems and services segment provides specialized technical services to the dod, federal agencies, state governments and other customers. Metrigraphics uses photolithographic and material deposition processes to manufacture optical discs, scales and reticles that are used for precision measurement. In may 2, 2003, the group completed the sale of its encoder division assets to gsi lumonics inc in billerica, Massachusetts.
