The company's principal activities are to develop, assemble, market and install computer systems. The computer systems capture video, digitally captured images and scanned images, digitize the image, link the digitized images to text or data and store the image and text on a computer database. This allows for transmitting the image and text by computer or over telephone transmission lines to remote locations. The principal product of the company is the compu-capture law enforcement program, which is marketed to law enforcement agencies and jail facilities. The company has one patent application, number 09/08/800, for a device and method for scanning and mapping a surface and it owns the proprietary rights to the software used in the compu-capture(R) programs. In addition, ddsi owns the rights to the trademarks compu-capture(R), compu-color(R) and compu-scan(R) both trademarks have been registered with the United States patent and trademark office.
