The group's principal activity is to supply vehicle electronics, transportation components, integrated systems and modules and other electronic technology. The group operates under three segments. Dynamics, propulsion and thermal sector, which includes selected businesses from energy and engine management systems, chassis, steering and thermal systems product lines. Electrical, electronics, safety and interior sector, which includes selected businesses from automotive electronics, audio, consumer and aftermarket products, communication systems, safety and power and signal distribution systems product lines. Automotive holdings group product lines include half shafts, condensers, batteries, filters, spark plugs, generators and compressors. The group has international operations in Canada, Mexico, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific and South America. On 17-Nov-2003, the group acquired Grundig Car Intermedia System (GMBH).
