The group's principal activity is to provide enterprise data routing solutions for open system storage area networks (sans). The storage routers serve as interconnect between sans and the other devices in a computer network and allow organizations to store, manage and ensure the integrity and availability of their data. The group has developed and acquired expertise in several different input-output (i/o) and networking protocols. It provides these products in a variety of configurations including both stand-alone box and library-embedded router form factors with varying port counts. The products and services of the group are sold primarily to leading storage system and server original equipment manufacturers, distributors, vars, system integrators and storage service providers.
