The group's principal activity is to provide consumer finance to purchase and service retail automobile purchase contracts. These contracts are originated by licensed motor vehicle dealers in the sale of new and used automobiles, light trucks and passenger vans. The group provides indirect financing to the dealer customers by purchasing installment contracts from dealers. The group serves as an alternative source of financing for dealers who generally would not qualify for automobile financing from traditional sources, such as commercial banks, credit unions and the captive finance companies affiliated with major automobile manufacturers. The group's servicing activities consist of collecting, accounting and posting of all payments received, responding to customer inquiries, investigating delinquencies and monitoring each contract and the related collateral.
