The group operates in three segments. The consumer segment includes retail branch network, consumer finance, bankcard, student loans and discount brokerage services. The commercial segment includes corporate lending, leasing, and international services as well as business, government deposit and cash management services. The money management segment provides traditional trust and estate tax planning services, advisory and discretionary investment portfolio management services. In Jan 2003, the group acquired the vaughn group inc.
